Gender Trends in Healthcare and Academia—Where Does the University of Malta Stand?

A current and pertinent topic is that of gender studies within healthcare students academic staff courses. This commentary explores the feminization extent to which women in Malta hold key roles academia faculties Health Sciences, Dental Surgery, Medicine Surgery at University Malta. Data were publicly available from university website. Gender (male: female ratio) trends elicited data representing each level qualification as offered by faculty, while top faculty noted. As a general trend, number studying courses has increased, with an increased female-to-male ratio. Yet, academia, men still occupy roles. Efforts should be made cater for all races, ethnicities, genders, sexual orientations, socioeconomic levels workforce allow delivery best possible service.
